Sensei Zeno Cnudde began his training at the age of seven in Shotokan karate in 1997 under Gary Dunlap (Rokudan) in Salinas, CA. During his early years, he was also instructed by Senseis Leo Arimas and Miriam Garnica. Two years later, his father Hubert also joined, and two years after that, so did his mother, Becky. In December 2002, Zeno earned his Shodan, and four years later, his Nidan. In 2006, Gary Dunlap handed down the Salinas Dojo to Sensei Hubert, Senpai Becky, and Senpai Zeno. The three instructors taught in unison until 2014 when Hubert & Becky took a hiatus from karate, and Zeno was promoted to sensei. Sensei Zeno has been instructing Shotokan Karate for 9 years and is also a teacher at Salinas High School.
